A Telford deputy headteacher today spoke of his delight after learning that his school will be rebuilt despite massive Government budget cuts.

Lee Taylor, of the Sutherland Business and Enterprise College, was speaking after it was announced that a £200 million programme to revamp every secondary school in Telford & Wrekin remained on track.

Education Secretary Michael Gove had announced that more than 700 schools in England will not be rebuilt or refurbished under the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme launched by the former Labour Government.
