Mobility scooter rider accused of careless driving after allegedly hitting man in Shrewsbury

A man has been charged with driving without due care and attention after allegedly hitting someone with his mobility scooter.

Alan Briscoe, aged 60, is alleged to have hit a man with his Green Power Unique 500 scooter in Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, on January 8.

Briscoe, of Armdale, Monkmoor, Shrewsbury, made no plea at Worcester Magistrates Court to driving without due care and attention, failing to stop and failing to report a road accident.

He will next appear at Telford Magistrates Court on March 22.
