Connor Vowles, 21, of Lon Gwern, Newtown, had previously pleaded guilty to two charges he faced and he was sentenced at Mold Crown Court on Wednesday.

Vowles had previously pleaded guilty to inciting a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity, and met a female under 16 following sexual grooming.

He was due to be sentenced before Christmas however a judge delayed the sentencing for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

On Wednesday, Vowles was jailed for 16 months.
