The case against Mark Anthony Jones, 33, was sent to the crown court.

He appeared from custody at a special weekend sitting of North East Wales Magistrates’ Court at Mold after a warrant was issued for his arrest when he failed to turn up in court on Friday.

The defendant was rebailed and will appear at a plea and case management at Mold Crown Court on January 25.

He is charged that between January and April this year that he had in his possession indecent pseudo-photographs, namely 50 cartoon-style animations, depicting sexual images of children.

Jones of The Ridgeway, Marchweil, Wrexham, is also charged with making by downloading 25 movies at category A - the most serious - together with six at category B and three at category C.

He gave no indication of plea at this stage.

Magistrates agreed with defending solicitor Emma Simoes that Jones should be rebailed on condition that he lives at his home address and reports to police the day before the crown court hearing.
