Thieves target vehicle number plates on car near Shrewsbury

Police are urging people whose vehicle plates have been taken or tampered with to contact them as, they said, they are often used for criminal activity.

The registration plates were removed from a White Volvo C30 motor vehicle parked on a driveway on a private property in Bicton Lane. The vehicle was a 2012 model and it appears that the thieves were attempting to remove the front and back number plates but were disturbed and left prior to completely removing the front number plate.
