Rare watch taken in Telford burglary

Police have released an image of a rare watch that was stolen from a home in Telford, in the hopes it will encourage people to come forward with new information.

The watch was taken in a burglary from a home in Manor Road, Hadley on May 12.

Officers are hoping that the image may trigger members of the public to come forward with new information as investigations into the burglary continue.

The crime happened sometime between 10am and 12.10pm, when an unknown offender or offenders forced entry to a home through a porch door.

Two rotary watches worth several hundred pounds, a camcorder and of cash and jewellery are believed to have been taken, along with the rare watch.

The bespoke watch is made from a 1940's two shilling coin and is very distinctive.

Anyone who has seen or been offered the watch for sale may have important information that could help investigating officers with their enquiries.

Any information should be reported to police on 101 by quoting incident number 278s of May 12.
