Burglars targeted three properties in Melverley Green over the Bank Holiday weekend.

At about 3am on Monday three specialised mountain bikes, a Giant road bike and a customised Jump bike, along with a Stihl strimmer, were stolen from a shed at a farm house. A group of intruders were disturbed in an annex to the farm house. Police say several people were seen running away and a vehicle was heard to drive off.

Overnight on Sunday/Monday a garden shed and a detached garage on the Crosslanes Road at Melverley Green were raided and a mobile phone and a strimmer were taken. The strimmer was later found by a gate in a field nearby.

Also during the same night, a garden shed at a farm in Melverley Green was broken into and two strimmers were removed. Both were found left close by.

Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone who may be offered the items for sale to contact them on 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or at crimestoppers-uk.org
