Shropshire businessman facing £13,000 fraud trial

A Shropshire businessman has denied making more than £13,000 in false representations to a town council.

Nicholas Raymond Cooper appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court accused of three charges of fraud relating to Market Drayton Town Council.

Cooper, 40, of Frogmore Road, Market Drayton, denied the offences, which are alleged to have taken place between December 2014 and April 2015.

His trial is listed for the week commencing February 27 next year.
