Shropshire prisoner caught with phone in his cell avoids more time behind bars

A prisoner who was caught with a phone in his cell has avoided more time behind bars.

Vincent Potter, aged 20, had the device in his possession at Stoke Heath prison near Market Drayton while he was serving time for drug dealing.

Telford Magistrates Court was told the phone was discovered on April 21 this year, and that Potter had been “holding it for another inmate”.
