Housing development is a benefit to Builth Wells rather than a hindrance, company says
A housing company has said its development is a benefit to Builth Wells rather than a hindrance, following complaints about conditions at its site
Complainants contacted the town council recently saying there was silt and slurry on the roads at the Hospital Road site.
Paul Lund, contracts manager at SJ Roberts Construction attended a recent Builth Wells Town Council meeting to respond to the complaints.
Commenting on its work delivering 31 much-needed homes for affordable rent, Mr Lund, said: “As a professional and highly regarded family-run building contractor, SJ Roberts Construction is proud to be delivering such a significant new housing development in the heart of Builth Wells.
“This is probably the largest such development that the town has seen for many years, and we believe it is delivering a benefit rather than a hindrance to the local community.
“We work hard to keep the site clean and tidy, despite the challenges that weather at this time of year can pose.
“We also work hard to actively contribute in a positive way to the local community – that can cover anything from paying to unblock a highways drain, through to investing in events that encourage local schoolchildren to become entrepreneurs.”
