Thief tricked Telford Centre shop assistant into giving £140 bogus refund for clothes she hadn't bought
A thief tricked a shop assistant into giving her a £140 refund for clothes she hadn’t bought, a court was told.
Emma O’Neill, aged 30, cashed the bogus refund at Next in the Telford Centre shopping mall on January 4 this year after taking a jacket and a jumper to the till.
Telford Magistrates Court was told how she first took the items to a changing room and got rid of the tags, before taking them to the till and getting the money.
