'We are angry' - County farmers join national 'day of unity' as pressure continues over Labour's controversial inheritance tax plans
County farmers have joined colleagues across the country in holding a 'national day of unity' - as pressure grows on the government to scrap its planned inheritance tax changes.
Setting up in the car park at Morrison's in Lawley - with the supermarket's blessing - a group of county farmers continued their calls for a government re-think over the controversial proposals.
Fellow farmers across the country, including in South Shropshire at Ludlow, held their own events - also organised to thank the public for support.

Arranged by the National Farmers' Union (NFU) the rallies were set to remind MPs that they will not stop until the change to inheritance tax is subject to further consultation and scrutiny.
Graham Price, NFU Shropshire Chair and a third generation farmer from between Ludlow and Bridgnorth, was present at the Telford event, and said they wanted to showcase Shropshire produce - and continue campaigning over Labour's plans for tax changes.

He said: "We are obviously promoting a showcase of Shropshire produce. We are very grateful for the support consumers have provided for British produce and we are obviously highlighting the 'stop the family farm tax' campaign."
