'It has put me off alcohol for life': Telford man sentenced for damaging police car while drunk
A man who went out for a 'bit of a blow out' with his wife ended up drinking so much that he was arrested and put in the back of a police car where he broke the indicator.
Ryan Steven Bailey pleaded guilty to one count of causing criminal damage to a West Mercia Police vehicle in Telford on September 28 this year when he appeared at Telford Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Kate Price, prosecuting on Tuesday, said the 27-year-old had been “very clearly drunk and stumbling around”.
A police officer put him “in the back of a police car” so he could deal with someone else.
