Drivers on Arriva Trains Wales have voted to accept a revised deal which resolves a long-running dispute over pay and conditions.

The Aslef union said its members accepted the offer by 59 per cent, in a turnout of 82 per cent.

National officer Simon Weller said: "We are pleased that this matter has been resolved, thanks to the solidarity shown by our members."

Services across Shropshire and Mid Wales were cancelled earlier this year due to strike action.

The strike by drivers at unions Aslef and RMT was due to a failure to resolve a row over pay and conditions.
