Woman rescued from Shropshire beauty spot after fall

A woman had to be stretchered down from one of Shropshire's beauty spots after she fell.

She was walking on the Long Mynd above Church Stretton when she fell just after 3pm and was unable to walk.

Ambulance crews were called along with firefighters from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service.

A fire service spokesman said: "Crews were called to assist ambulance to rescue a lady who had fallen on the hillside and was unable to walk."

She was in the ambulance by 4.15pm.
