Two men arrested after Market Drayton coffee thefts
Two men were arrested after coffee was stolen from two Market Drayton shops.
Police arrested two men from the town following the thefts from Poundstretcher and B&M Bargains on Frogmore Road.
PC Mick Sturland, of the town's safer neighbourhood team, said the men, aged 27 and 38 have now been released on bail.
He said: "We had several thefts from stores that we believe were committed by two very well known males who are also known drug users.
"As usual, intelligence is key, as is the Shopwatch scheme and they were identified by staff from the banned list and local intelligence.
"Both were subsequently arrested and are on police bail while enquiries continue.
"Working with the Meres & Mosses Housing Association, we share information under a data sharing agreement. This enables Meres & Mosses to take steps to seek possession of their property if they are identified as being involved in crime."
