Launch of book on Shifnal history
A book on the history of one of Shropshire's market towns will be launched in the next few days.

Author Sylvia Watts will unveil her second book, A History of Shifnal, at an event at the town's Old Fire Station on February 15. It is a follow up to her pictorial history of the town.
Jenny Johnson, a member of Shifnal Local History Group, said: "It's quite a big book, it's very comprehensive. It starts in Saxon times and moves through history, it also mentions famous people who have been to Shifnal."
The coffee morning will be held between 10am and 1pm and people can buy a copy of the book for £10.
