Harvey-Lee Williams, two, was found in a neighbour's garden pond in Froncysyllte near Chirk on Monday. It is thought the youngster wandered away from his mum while she was packing boxes into a car.

Police were called after he was reported missing and found him in the pond. He was pronounced dead at hospital.

An inquest was opened and adjourned yesterday in Wrexham by coroner John Gittins. The brief hearing was told Harvey-Lee's death was due to drowning.
