M54 overnight closures in Shropshire
Part of the M54 in Shropshire will be closed overnight from tonight for resurfacing work to the slip roads.
The Highways Agency will be closing the M54 eastbound between junctions 7 at Wellington and 6 at Ketley and the westbound carriageway between junction 5 at Telford Central and junction 7 overnight while slip roads are resurfaced and new road markings put in place.
Closures will take effect between 8pm and 6am and diversions will be put in place. The stretch of motorway between junctions 5 and 7 is already affected by lane closures and temporary speed limits as part of major work to repair three bridges which will last until the spring.
Purnima Kaul of the Highways Agency said: "The closures are likely to cause some disruption but we are carrying out the work overnight to minimise the impact."
