The Much Wenlock Festival was the only organisation in Shropshire to net the accolade this year, which was presented by the Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire, Algernon Heber Percy during a ceremony in Much Wenlock Museum.
Pippa Walker, chairman of the Wenlock Festival, said: "It means that we can now put the crown emblem on our letterhead."
