The 32 employees will transfer to the new store, which is due to open on May 1.
The shop in Brodie House, near Debenhams, will close on April 30.
The move will see Iceland take over a bigger store with hopes that the new site will be able to offer more lines and choice.
Peter Devin, Iceland area manager, said: "We are delighted to be opening our new store in Southwater Square. This represents a considerable investment by Iceland Foods."
Telford & Wrekin Council spokesman Russell Griffin said: "We welcome new development on an area of previously under-used land within Southwater."
