Pizza Hut plan for Shrewsbury takeaway could boost jobs
Restaurant giant Pizza Hut is bidding to open a new takeaway shop in Shropshire – creating 18 jobs.
Planning permission has been lodged to transform an empty shop in Ditherington Road, Shrewsbury, into a new takeaway.
The pizza delivery business would take over a premises next to car parts shop Motormania. The new venture would create six full-time and 12 part-time jobs.
Its opening hours would be 10am until midnight from Monday to Saturday and between 10am and 1am on Sundays.
The Pizza Hut takeaway will also make use of the existing car park outside the shop – providing space for 10 customers.
A design and access statement, lodged with Shropshire Council, in support of the scheme said the late-night takeaway would help reduce crime in the surrounding area.
