Shropshire shivers as temperatures drop to -3C
Shivering Shropshire awoke to a blanket of frost today as the county – and large parts of Britain – remained in the grip of an icy blast.

Temperatures in the county dropped to an overnight low of -3C (26F) as Shropshire remained on amber cold weather warning.
Motorists had to endure icy roads and events such as today's race meeting at Ludlow Racecourse were abandoned.
Forecasters at the Met Office said freezing fog patches will clear to leave a dry and fine day with sunny spells but temperatures will stay at freezing.
