A 60-year-old man from the Shropshire border was due to appear in court today accused of murdering his wife.
A 60-year-old man from the Shropshire border was due to appear in court today accused of murdering his wife.
John Colin Taylor, of Mortimer Drive, Orleton, near Ludlow is charged with murdering Alethea Taylor between January 17 and 21 at Orleton.
On Saturday Hereford magistrates remanded Taylor, a funeral director, in custody.
He was due to appear at Worcester Crown Court today.
Mrs Taylor, aged 63, a former teacher and popular villager, was last seen on January 19.
She is classed as missing and police have said Mrs Taylor's body has not been found. At the time of her disappearance residents and police officers searched without finding a trace of her.
