This is the first picture of the victims of a terrifying armed raid carried out at their home in the Shropshire countryside.

Heavily pregnant Victoria Ratheram was home alone when a gang armed with a machete and truncheon burst in and ransacked her home at Wollerton, near Market Drayton on Thursday.

Mrs Ratheram today spoke in more detail about her ordeal and said as the horror unfolded all she could think of was her unborn child and three-year-old son.

"I just wanted to hold my son, but my hands were tied," she said and added:?"I'm not in a good way. I'm jumpy and I get really anxious. I'm not sleeping at all. It frightens the living daylights out of me when the doorbell rings."

They also targeted a neighbour's home, police said, and cut a teenager's hand in the incident.

Police are appealing for sightings of a silver saloon car spotted in the Wollerton area on Thursday morning.
