Age UK bosses needed to raise the cash to keep their Whitchurch office open beyond the end of the month, otherwise it would have closed after 25 years.
And thanks to the generosity of residents and businesses, enough money has now been raised to keep it open for at least 12 months.
But campaigners have warned they cannot rest on their laurels and are appealing for more sponsorship to help it continue serving people. It provides vital advice and support.
Hilary Knight, deputy chief executive of Age Concern for Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, said: "We are absolutely delighted."
