Windows have been smashed on canal boats moored on the Shropshire Union Canal by vandals.
Boats moored near The Shroppie Fly pub in Audlem, near Market Drayton, have been targeted, according to villagers.
Bob Cartwright, editor of the Audlem Online village website, said a string of boats had been attacked and some showed signs of attempted break-ins.
He said: "Thankfully nothing appears to have been taken or seriously damaged.
"However, several boats show evidence of force being used, although not successfully, and broken windows seems to have been the worst of the damage."
He added the incidents have taken place in recent days and police have been alerted and are warning people to be on the lookout for further trouble.
Witnesses can call 0845 4586378 with any information.
