Housing chiefs have caused outrage on a Ludlow estate by sending letters to tenants ordering them to clear up their gardens, it was claimed today.
Vivienne Parry, vice-chairman of Ludlow in Bloom and town councillor, said South Shropshire Housing Association's letter was "highly offensive" to Sandpits estate tenants.
Mrs Parry said: "Fine, there are some that are badly maintained but there are many that are immaculate and to send this letter to every tenant is highly offensive.
"Most of them are lovely gardens and I am thinking about including them in the Ludlow In Bloom entry next year and we were actually up near there last year with the judges."
