Shropshire woman's body is identified

Police confirmed today that a body found found on a beach near Southport is that of a north Shropshire woman who went missing last month.

Alison Manning, of Summerhill Gardens, Market Drayton, was last seen on June 17 in Llandudno, north Wales.

Her body was found in Ainsdale on Tuesday.

Merseyside Police are not treating her death as suspicious.

Her next of kin have been notified.
