A south Shropshire man who allegedly hosted rowdy late night parties and invited teenagers to join in has been evicted from his home.

Robert Glaze, known as Bobby, has been served an eviction order by housing association and police officials forcing him out of his home in Marstons Terrace in Ludlow.

He has been banned from going near the property or The Foyer, a neighbouring housing scheme for 16 to 18 year-olds, for two years and faces being arrested if he breaches the injunction.

Police said about 15 complaints were made over a year about Glaze's behaviour.

Many of the complaints received by both officers and South Shropshire Housing Association centred around loud and rowdy late-night parties that Glaze frequently held, to which he would invite youngsters from The Foyer.

The order was handed out by Telford County Court on February 28.

Martin Holland, chief executive of Shropshire Housing Group, of which SSHA is part, said: "Shropshire Housing Group and South Shropshire Housing Association have a clear policy on taking action against tenants whose behaviour blights the lives of others."

Acting Chief Inspector Jamie Dunn said the action would come as a relief to those living nearby.
