Police investigate Wellington sex attack

An area of Wellington was cordoned off by police today after a sex attack in the town.

Forensic teams were scouring the cordoned off alleyways close to the back of the bus station after a woman in her late teens was sexually assaulted in the early hours of yesterday.

Police said the woman had reported a "serious sexual assault" which happened between 2am and 3am after she left Pussycats nightclub.

Chris Ammonds, spokes-man for Telford police, said forensic work is continuing.
