It is not yet known what caused the fire, but no-one is believed to have been injured.
In all 17 firefighters were in attendance, with engines from Ludlow and Craven Arms and the incident commander from Shrewsbury was called to the scene.
The blaze was under control by 8.15am, but firefighters from Ludlow and Craven Arms remained at the scene this morning to carry out safety checks.
A spokeswoman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said fire crews used an extended hose reel jet to put out the fire.
She said: "The stop message came through at 8.13am but crews from Ludlow and Craven Arms remained at the site.
"It's not yet known what caused the fire, which involved about two tonnes of wood shavings."
She added: "We have no reason to believe anyone was injured as a result of the fire."
