Detectives investigating the attempted murder of a man in Telford have released CCTV pictures of a car they want to trace.
Police hope the images of a dark-coloured car turning left from Watling Street into Dawley Road, Wellington, could provide vital clues into the assault last month.
A 29-year-old Asian man was left fighting for his life after he was dragged from his Audi A4 in Urban Gardens and beaten on June 1, between 3.30am and 4am.
He suffered multiple injuries and underwent life-saving surgery and is still in hospital in a poorly but stable condition.
A team of about 40 officers have been working on the case and trawling hours of CCTV footage.
Forensic experts have carried out a number of inquiries and West Mercia Police are also offering a £10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the offenders.
Four men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, but have since been released without charge.
Detective Inspector John Elcock said the response so far to public appeals had been "disappointing". He said: "We feel these new images are extremely significant and are hoping they will prove vital in bringing forward more witnesses."
He added: "We have had some anonymous calls already and I want to urge those individuals to call again as the information they could have could be helpful. I would like to reassure those individuals that procedures are in place to look after the welfare of witnesses."
Anyone with information is asked to call Telford police on 0300 333 3000.
