Flash flooding hits county

Torrential rain caused chaos across parts of Shropshire and Mid Wales this afternoon, with flash flooding blocking roads.

Serious flooding was reported in Cosford and in the centre of Newtown, where a number of roads were closed.

People in Berrington and Cantlop, near Shrewsbury, reported power cuts.
