Rockslide road to reopen
A notorious stretch of road which has been blighted by three landslides in three months will reopen this afternoon.
A stretch of road which has been blighted with three landslides in as many months will reopen this afternoon.
Shropshire Council said the A458 at Harley Bank will reopen to traffic by 5pm this afternoon subject to any unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane and will be controlled by traffic signals.
A signed diversion route will be in place for southbound HGV's.
The road was closed after about 100 tonnes of rock fell on it last Friday, blocking the Shrewsbury-bound carriageway.
Ten months ago the then Shropshire County Council undertook a £300,000 improvement scheme to remove 16,000 tonnes of rock in a bid to make Harley Bank more secure.
