Man in court over rape case

A 38-year-old Shropshire man today appeared in court charged with rape.

Shaun Kevin Hillman, of Castle Meadows, Pontesbury, appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court following an alleged rape of a woman in the village on April 9.

The case was adjourned for a plea and case management hearing on June 15 and Hillman was remanded in custody.
