Shifnal Town have been challenged to carry their current six-game unbeaten run through to the end of the Midland Alliance season.

After a blip immediately after Christmas saw them slip out of title contention, Shifnal have launched a platform to go on an extended unbeaten run.

Stratford, who are expected to include former Jamaican international and Coventry and Walsall winger Paul Hall in their squad, are the visitors tomorrow.

And despite the opposition being in the bottom half of the table, Shifnal boss Darren Goodall is expecting a tough encounter.

"Stratford are one of the biggest teams in the Alliance - they have got a massive budget and a great set-up," said Goodall.

"The thing that has let them down this season has been their away form.

"But I don't think that will affect them tomorrow.

They will enjoy playing on a great pitch at Shifnal, just as we do.I've said to the players it would be great to go unbeaten until the end of the season.

"It's realistic but it will be very tough. But we have gone 14 games unbeaten once this season so why can't we do it again?"

Richard Gardener and Danny Rochester are expected to return to bolster the squad which beat Cradley 2-1 on Tuesday, despite having goalkeeper Steve Jackson sent off after just three minutes.

Bridgnorth Town manager Andy Marlowe is confident his side can claim the scalp of high-flying Coventry Sphinx at Crown Meadow tomorrow.

"Fair play to Coventry because they have been flying high all season," said Marlowe.

"But on our day we are more than capable of matching anyone in this division.

"We have to make sure our day comes more often than not."

Goalkeeper Steve Taylor returns to action tomorrow while Grant Joshua kicks off a spate of suspensions for Bridgnorth after a glut of red cards recently.
