The takeaway previously scored poorly on Telford's Scores on the Doors scheme, launched in June to boost hygiene standards of pubs, restaurants, takeaways and canteens.

Under the scheme, all food premises are given a star rating by environmental health officers - and face losing stars if they fail to maintain standards.

The scheme covers everything from pubs, restaurants and takeaways to private caterers, care homes and even school kitchens.

The best premises have five and the worst none, with scores shown on the council's website at www.telford .gov.uk
