Charity cash is targeted

Charity boxes containing cash have been stolen from a Shropshire vets.

Thieves stole two charity boxes containing money raised for the Cats Protection League and Dogs Trust when they forced entry to Roden Grove Veterinary Centre in Wem.

It is the second time the surgery has been targeted, with thieves making off with cash and computer screens and causing hundreds of pounds of damage in a raid last year.

The theft was discovered by head nurse Andrea Hall on Saturday morning.
