Crime is worse in this town

I have noticed over the past few weeks that crime in the Bridgnorth area seems to have increased.

I have read in your newspaper about two attempted ram-raids on a shop in High Street, and that Wheatlands garage was burgled.

Then there were the two poor gentlemen in Sutton Maddock, who have had the privilege of three men ransacking their farmhouse and demanding money.

An attempt was made to steal my vehicle on the Sunday night/Monday morning before Christmas, and the criminals stole my neighbour's car.

They were told it had been found burnt-out a few hours after they realised it had been stolen.

Also, there was an attempted break-in at my other neighbour's house.

I feel these criminals, whoever they may be, have made people's lives a misery and caused many people a lot of stress and concern.

I alone have spent four days trying to sort out the insurance for repairing my car, which is now costing £1,000-£1,500.

Never mind the other unfortunate people who these irresponsible criminals have targeted.

So, is crime getting worse in the Bridgnorth area? Or is it just due to it being Christmas time?
