The tight restrictions placed on Royal Mail along with the cherry-picking facilities on offer to any private competitors ensured that the present financial and industrial action problems would not be long coming.
Needless to say the rest of the EU member countries have noted the serious consequences in Britain of another ill thought-out EU directive and delayed their own indefinitely.
It was certainly a bad day for Britain when we joined this stupid, illogical and murderously expensive union.
