Expansion of hospital necessary

Why is it that calling for the retention of acute services at the Princess Royal Hospital should be seen as criticising the staff or even "scaring" them, which is what David Wright MP is saying?

Why is it that calling for the retention of acute services at the Princess Royal Hospital should be seen as criticising the staff or even "scaring" them, which is what David Wright MP is saying?

By retaining these services in Telford and Wrekin the employment and promotional prospects of local NHS staff are enhanced and they will be able to stay in this area, instead of having to move away to look for job opportunities.

Therefore, I would think that they would be pleased rather than upset.

Telford has a population of 138,000, compared to Shrewsbury's 70,000, and it is expected to grow to 200,000 within a few years.

The Labour MP and his fellow candidate should be joining the Conservative MP in demanding that the services at the Princess Royal are retained.

I would add that for the size and make-up of our population, the services at the PRH should actually be expanded.
