Tell truth on parking fee rumour

There is a very nasty rumour starting to make the rounds which needs to be quickly confirmed or denied by Telford & Wrekin Council.

Yes, I am talking about parking charges in Wellington, Newport and Oakengates.

It surely beggars belief that we might be going down this route again after spending and wasting all that money on ticket machines.

Wellington is only just recovering from the council's last debacle, and so is Newport.

To impose parking charges in Oakengates would kill it stone dead.

Come on, council spokes-person, let's hear your side of the story. True or false?
