No answer on source of bricks

I understand perfectly where Councillor Wilkinson is coming from and his frustration at the borough council's disregard for the views of the parish councillors.

I have been trying for the last four months to get an answer on whether any bricks will be purchased from Blockleys for the many building projects planned and under way in Telford.

It seems only reasonable that local residents should ask this question. After all, many work at the company.

The request has been acknowledged several times but no answer has been forthcoming. Indeed no answer has been received after placing my request before the borough council complaints procedure.

The matter is now in the hands of the Freedom of Information Commissioner and he has ordered the question be answered within 20 days. Surely the planning department must know what type of bricks are used?

It would seem representing my electorate's questions through the information chain is somehow a threat to their security.
