Celebrities could do far more
I totally agree with the letter by Pete Veloso, from Shrewsbury, regarding the fees which celebrities take from charity events.

You have to be careful which charities actually give the money you raise to the people in need and how many actually keep the money themselves.
On another extreme what really annoys me is that people, mainly celebrities and millionaires who have a bank full of money, keep it selfishly when there are people in need of cash to stop them from living in poverty.
And there are others who are living on the streets or have a disability where they need special equipment they can't afford to buy.
It is these people who, with your money, could have a better life.
Even if you do not have much money you could still help people less fortunate than yourself by taking time to visit people like the elderly or children at a school like Bridgemere where your time makes all the difference, or take part in a fundraising event and raise money for either a local or national charity.
It's the people like the Beckhams who irritate me.
They have £160 million in their bank account and the world still has issues of poverty.
I think it is utterly atrocious!
