Is county wasting its rubbish?
The Independent newspaper bore the unforgettable headline with an appropriate picture "The Great Pall of China".

Just so! I, and many others who don't believe we can do a thing about the global warming (nor are we as human beings responsible for it) like the idea of recycling for other reasons.
GMTV had an interview with Hampshire County Council (http://www.hants.gov.uk/). It has amazing schemes.
I can't find any similar on Shropshire County Council's website.
We compost everything ourselves and don't consume any prepackaged food, but the chap from HCC said that it used waste to power 37,000 homes.
Why isn't Salop doing this? Is our waste being wasted? Hampshire says: "Use waste as a resource."
It pays managers of recycling sites bonus incentives.
I would very much like to find out what actually happens to the waste from this area.
