Slavery! What Slavery? I have never owned nor been responsible for slaves. Having worked until retirement from 16-65 years, I think that the word might well apply to all of us.

Slavery! What Slavery? I have never owned nor been responsible for slaves. Having worked until retirement from 16-65 years, I think that the word might well apply to all of us.

The real question to be answered is why Britain has suddenly sparked clerics who feel from their lofted positions they can start muck raking amid the distant past to put a racist face on "the man in the street".

Talk about racism, you couldn't get anything more disturbingly racist than bringing up that subject today.

The next thing you know relatives of Bodacea will be having a go at the French because of 1066 and all that!

The worst thing about all this is the fact that our beautiful lady Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth should be involved.

Our brave wartime lady who will always receive my great admiration should never have been put in such a ridiculous position.

So I say to religious bodies, concentrate our prayers for the living, what is past is history.
