Stop internet suicide pictures
I wish to send my condolences to the family of Kevin Whitrick. Mindless people are circulating images of Kevin's apparent death on the internet.
I wish to send my condolences to the family of Kevin Whitrick. Mindless people are circulating images of Kevin's apparent death on the internet.
I would like to say to them that you can never imagine anything worse than losing someone you love through suicide. My son's father committed suicide 18 months ago, without any warning and no explanation.
Can these people understand the distress and torment Kevin's children are going through?
I have had to witness my son trying to deal not only with the death of a parent, but also with the emotions associated with a parent taking his own life.
People who take their own lives do not, at that time, see what devastation they are leaving behind. They are not seeing things clearly. People who take enjoyment from other people's pain by circulating these images should be ashamed of themselves.
Please stop this now and remember Kevin's family needs to be left alone to grieve.
His children should be able to remember the happy times with their dad and not the way he died.
