Popularity of the EU is waning
The latest Eurobarometer poll shows a marked decline in British support for the European Union, which mirrors a sceptical mood across the continent. Just 24 per cent think that the European Union "Is going in the right direction".
The latest Eurobarometer poll shows a marked decline in British support for the European Union, which mirrors a sceptical mood across the continent. Just 24 per cent think that the European Union "Is going in the right direction".
The same poll surprisingly reported that 40 per cent of UK respondents say that they are in favour of the European Union constitution, while only 35 per cent are against.
Adoption of this constitution would remove the last vestige of UK sovereign powers from Westminster, require our compulsory joining of the euro, remove the name of England from the maps of Europe and record the demise of democracy in our islands.
Under the European Union's own rules, this constitution should have been dead and buried when voted against by France and The Netherlands - that it isn't reflects the arrogance of the Brussels elite.
