Inaccurate complaint on young
I would like to respond to a letter which I read in your newspaper regarding the 435 bus from Ludlow to Shrewsbury and the students who travel on it to attend Ludlow College.
I would like to respond to a letter which I read in your newspaper regarding the 435 bus from Ludlow to Shrewsbury and the students who travel on it to attend Ludlow College.
According to letter students "congregate" at the top of Mill Street and "fill the pavement, making it impossible to pass".
For anyone who didn't realise, this is a designated bus stop for Ludlow's market area and college.
Would the letter writer prefer for us to stand in the road?
Next is the matter of "foul language and deafening noise".
On some occasions inappropriate words are used and there's nothing that can be done about that. But as for the "deafening noise", this is a classic example of over-exaggeration.
Apparently, to the "amazement of the adults" we "surge" to the front of the queue. That is just not true.
Apparently we also block the aisles. Perhaps this is because there is no sitting room.
"No student has the kindness to get up and offer disabled and elderly people at seat". Again not true.
Now we get to the crown jewel of the letter: "I would say to the parents, you have done a lousy job bringing up your children."
How dare you assume that you are a better person than us. You make all these high and mighty criticisms but were you never a child? Are you so perfect?
From what we can see in this letter all you do is complain and criticise.
As much as we are willing to admit that there are problems with our generation, what you have to say is either plainly not true or greatly exaggerated.
Thank you for your time.
